Draft - Flexible Workplaces Guideline and Determination 3.1 Employment Conditions - Hours of Work, Overtime and Leave

The Flexible Workplaces Guideline and Determination and the Determination 3.1 Employment Conditions – Hours of Work, Overtime and Leave are being updated as part of the implementation of the Flexibility for the Future initiative.

The Flexibility for the Future initiative, was announced by the Premier in February 2017 and asks public sector employees to consider if part-time and more flexible working arrangements would work better for them. By increasing the opportunities for public sector employees to voluntarily work part-time, the public sector can create new South Australian jobs without increasing the net cost to Government.

Any comments and feedback on the proposed changes Flexible Workplaces Guideline and Determination and the Determination 3.1 Employment Conditions – Hours of Work, Overtime and Leave should be directed to [email protected] by close of business on Thursday 8 June 2017.

Draft Guideline of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment - Public Sector Employee Mobility

In February 2017, the Government approved the implementation of an employee mobility strategy to deal with workforce issues arising from the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Commonwealth Aged Care Reforms which affect employees from the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI). To ensure employees are managed consistently and in accordance with Government policy, the attached Guideline for the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment:  Public Sector Employee Mobility has been developed.

The Office for the Public Sector will work closely with agencies to effectively implement the policy.

Any comments and feedback on the proposed new Guideline – Public Sector Employee Mobility should be directed to Ms Josie Barbaro, Manager, Workforce Transition Unit, by close of business Thursday 8 June to [email protected].
