Improving apprentice licensing
The Improving Apprentice Licencing Project reviewed and implemented changes to make the process of registering for plumbing, gas and electrical trade apprenticeships simpler. This will make significant improvements for the customer experience as well as create efficiencies for Government.
The project outcome was an IT solution to facilitate data sharing between the Department for State Development and Consumer and Business Services (CBS) to reduce unnecessary duplication of effort for industry and for agency staff. Despite encountering technical complexities, the project team successfully managed these with a focus on ‘digital by default’ and achieved the necessary outcomes for customers and the industry.
