Jobs4Youth is the State Government’s recruitment program for trainees and graduates. It aims to increase the employment of young people in the South Australian public sector as trainees or graduates.
Recruitment for 2017 is now live!
Jobs4Youth aims to employ 800 young people over four years to give more young people a start in the public sector and address the sector’s ageing workforce.
Some trainee and graduate positions will be available in areas of high youth unemployment, including the northern and southern suburbs and regional areas.
The number of trainees and graduates is matched to a percentage of vacancies that are likely to occur each year to ensure that there is no increase in overall staffing levels. Successful trainees who successfully complete the program will have a nationally recognised Certificate III qualification and graduates will have a nationally recognised skill set.
Young people aged between 17 and 24 (and in selected cases up to the age of 30) will be selected for the program.
Over the last three years, this initiative has attracted a large number of promising recruits from diverse backgrounds and we’re well on our way to meeting our recruitment target.
