Overview of Jobs4Youth
Jobs4Youth was announced by the Premier in February 2014 as part of the Modern Public Service Policy.
Jobs4Youth is a four year program to recruit 800 young people aged between 17 and 30 to the South Australian public sector between 2014 and 2017, giving more young people a start in public sector jobs and helping to address the ageing workforce.
All graduate participants are employed in roles that complement the studies they have completed and will undertake a Public Sector Fundamentals Skill Set.
To have the opportunity to achieve ongoing employment status, a graduate must successfully achieve three components:
- successful completion of their study component
- satisfactory performance appraisals throughout their employment
- uphold the public sector values.
