The South Australian Public Sector Values define integrity as acting truthfully, consistently and fairly.

Building integrity means we:

  • use our authority responsibly
  • are open and transparent in our actions and decision-making
  • report improper conduct
  • avoid, disclose or appropriately manage real or perceived conflicts of interests

We want all public sector employees to:

  • make a difference to the community
  • act in line with our values
  • be proud of how we work.

The Integrity Framework

The Integrity Framework supports a culture of integrity across the sector. It helps build and maintain trust by guiding how employees make decisions at all levels.

To build integrity in practice, we need:

  1. clear, consistent sector-wide direction, policies and systems
  2. strong agency-level systems, processes and policies
  3. employees who act respectfully and appropriately, regardless of their role
